El Alamein (DBB) and Marsa Matruh (MUH) are existing airports. The new city airport is a separate project. Check a flight for your dates and arrange the actual gate transfer.

RAS EL HEKMA HOSPITALITY / WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN
A hotel plan, a hotel room and a privately owned home are different things. Read each number with its place, source date and stage before using it to plan a stay or assess a property.
Guide review: 14 October 2026The June toolkit and supplied city film print 50+ hotels. WATG’s 26 June hospitality article describes nearly 30. It is not clear whether these sources count the same set of hotels. The guide does not treat their difference as a reduction.
WATG describes seven hotels in its initial Wadi advisory scope. The 8 September government visit report describes six Wadi hotels. The sources do not name all the hotels or show whether they refer to the same set. Each figure keeps its own date and source.

A “hotel key” usually means one rentable room, suite or other accommodation unit. It does not mean one guest. The 23,000-key caption is from an undated concept film; the guide does not divide it by a hotel count from another source to estimate rooms per hotel.

FOLLOW THE DATE, THEN CHECK THE OPERATOR
WATG’s June article reported an expected Montage summer opening. That is a dated expectation. On 14 October, Montage’s own destination page still said Under Development. The guide has not established a guest-opening date or a bookable stay for your dates.

Keep the hotel’s opening and your home’s handover separate. A branded home is not a hotel room, and a hotel opening does not establish owner access or service charges. Use the Montage ownership reader and home buying desk for the specific home’s documents.
The toolkit and supplied films retain their own edition or receipt dates; receipt is not publication. WATG’s article is dated 26 June 2026. The September government visit report is dated 8 September. Operator pages were reviewed on 14 October. Older guide and saved editions keep their original review dates.
The sources do not identify a matching set of hotels. The guide does not calculate a rise or fall in the hotel count, an average number of rooms per hotel, or a completion percentage. It does not confirm room availability. Private residences, hotel accommodation and project counts remain separate. Portaluna’s inclusion among Wadi’s six hotels is not established by the visit report.
